Ken and Jackie Johnson hatch an ambitious scheme to leave their families behind and relocate to India, where they plan to run a pub. The romantic adventure they were expecting gets off to a disastrous start when they find they've arrived in the middle of the monsoon season. They also encounter difficulties with the local workforce and bureaucracy, and struggle to find their place amid Goa's expat community
