A series of gruesome murders leads the team to a local foster mother after one of the men involved turns out to be a youth she had previously taken in. Logan shoots a suspect brandishing a weapon and is devastated when he turns out to be a policeman, though the dead officer may not be as innocent as he first appeared. Whoopi Goldberg guest stars alongside Chris Noth and Annabella Sciorra
