Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the death of a respected professional whose body is found in the East River, whose demise is apparently connected to a series of substantial gambling losses he had amassed but was hiding from his wife. At first it appears to have been a suicide, however, when it is revealed his body was covered in anti-sea sickness patches, it becomes clear it was murder
