    Extended edition. Robert Plant appears alongside his band the Sensational Space Shifters, performing songs from his latest album Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar. California rock band Counting Crows return to the show for the first time since 1997 with tracks from their new album Somewhere Under Wonderland, while Tune-Yards, aka New England-based musician Merrill Garbus, performs songs from third album Nikki Nack. Gedeon Luke and the People make their TV debuts, bringing their brand of Memphis soul to the studio, while electro-pop trio Years & Years also make their inaugural appearance on the small screen. Plus, South London artist Stormzy brings some urban grime flavour to the mix

    Extended edition. Dublin rock band U2 make their debut on the show to perform songs from their new album Songs of Innocence. Joining Jools for his first-ever performance on the programme is London singer-songwriter Sam Smith, responsible for one of the best-selling albums of 2014 so far, In the Lonely Hour. New York rockers Interpol return 10 years after their last appearance to perform tracks from their fifth studio album El Pintor. Also appearing are Zola Jesus aka Arizona singer Nika Roza Danilova, Tunbridge Wells garage punk two piece Slaves, and Dave & Phil Alvin from seminal Californian rock 'n' roll band the Blasters reuniting for the first time in almost 30 years
