The athletes travel to Brazil where they must prepare themselves for the competition with a painful initiation ceremony. Their challenge is to race the Wauja tribe 16km along the swollen Batavi River in dug-out canoes. The sun is beating down, the boats are hard to balance and thousands of hungry piranhas wait beneath the surface of the water, but the competitors are determined to succeed
