Synopsis:
A new schoolmaster named Mr Delafield arrives in Candleford, and endears himself to the residents of Lark Rise by providing evening classes for older boys, and by reviving an old local tradition. However, the teacher's arrival presents Sir Timothy with a rival for Dorcas' affections, and his radical political standpoint places his position under threat from the acid tongues of the Pratt sisters
