Rob Brydon stars as Kenneth Tynan in a drama exploring the personal and professional life of the theatrical colossus at the eye of the storm hitting the Sixties London stage. Critic, impresario and dandy, Tynan brought the sexual revolution to the middle classes as he battled against censorship, mediocrity and outdated attitudes to become a thorn in the establishment's side. He and wife Kathleen were among the most celebrated couples of the day, but his close relationship with Laurence Olivier also proved self-destructive as they both wrestled against the political machinations of the new National Theatre.
