  Maurice's check-up at the doctors doesn't quite go as planned, prompting him to take his health more seriously. However, his plans to relax are scuppered by an irate Barbara, who demands he retrieve Grace's valuable violin - which has been stolen.   When Hedley makes a mistake during a robbery to recover Old Nick's war medal, the young crook reveals he's going to be a dad and wants out of the gang for the sake of his unborn child. Determined to make a positive difference in the world, the father-to-be agrees to take part in a charity boxing match, but Maurice and Syd use the opportunity to convince him to carry out one last job. Grace announces she wants to move to New York to become a burlesque dancer, so the crook uses his skills to find out more about the boyfriend she's planning to go with, and is promptly thwarted in the act - fuelling his daughter's suspicions about her father's true career.
