The team take on the task of trying to prove a murder case was actually a suicide, although their attempt to balance the scales of justice proves harder than anticipated. Adam delves into the mechanics of the sequence of events, while his fellow investigators probe the victim's state of mind, hoping to find some shred of evidence pointing them in the right direction. However, it's Ford who could well hold the key to the puzzle in the palm of his hand, but the fact he may know too much leaves him treading a fine line. It appears he is more clued up about the drugs that possibly contributed to the victim's death than he's willing to let on. As the students struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel, the professor faces his own demons and finds himself with several difficult decisions to make - on both a personal and professional level.
