Satirical thriller based on the novel by Mark Tavener, starring Warren Clarke as anarchic BBC radio crime correspondent George Cragge who refuses to pander to his bosses' demands. His life is thrown into turmoil after a serial killer with a particular dislike for bank managers begins ringing up the station, prompting Cragge to join the murder trail. Meanwhile, a loss of confidence in New Labour leads to a crisis in the City, which in turn revolutionises the fortunes of the Reform Party : with calamitous consequences. The all-star cast includes Alun Armstrong, Keith Barron, John Bird, Stephen Fry, Richard Griffiths and Rik Mayall
