Hustle: Season 8 (2012)

• Season 8 Episode 6: EPISODE: 6

  The con is off. After eight years of grifting, Mickey is ready for retirement but has one final target in his sights - crooked businessman Madani Wasem, who could give him and the others a £10million payday in a stock-market scam. Even better, Wasem's broker turns out to be none other than old team member Stacie Monroe, who proves to be a useful insider. But their prey is a dangerous man, and when an order goes out to kill Mickey once the deal is done, it looks like the hustler's retirement is going to be rather permanent. Adrian Lester heads the regular cast in their final outing, with a guest appearance by Jaime Murray

  The con artists target a 1980s game show host-turned-property tycoon whose ruthlessness knows no bounds, having demolished one of Albert's favourite old haunts. To pay him back, the grifters pose as international businessmen and persuade him to buy the TV studios that fired him in his showbiz heyday. But the arrival of Ash's 11-year-old godson, himself an aspiring hustler, threatens to throw a spanner in the works. Mark Williams (The Fast Show, Harry Potter) guest stars

  The grifters' friend Carol suffers a heart attack, and they discover she has been the victim of a sham diet plan run by American fraudsters Dean and Dana Deville. Mickey decides to give the couple a taste of their own medicine, convincing them he has a miraculous diet pill to sell - and the gullible duo think they are onto a winner when Ash, at first wearing a fat suit, begins to speedily lose weight.   The con artists move in on the crooked CEO of an online hotel and restaurant guide, and develop an inheritance scam to convince their victim she has been left a valuable estate. But they fail to realise they themselves are being targeted by dodgy cop DI Fisk, who has blackmailed pickpocket Kat - Sean's ex-girlfriend - to infiltrate the gang

• Season 8 Episode 2: EPISODE: 2

  The tricksters discover a valuable Picasso has been stolen, so they try to sell a forgery of the painting back to the original owner - only to come unstuck when Mickey is kidnapped. To rescue their leader, the grifters have to find out who took the original and then steal it back, but with so many fakes and double-crossers lurking behind every corner, they have a challenge on their hands to save Mickey in time. • Season 8 Episode 1: EPISODE: 1

  The grifters return for one last round of cons, targeting the greedy and corrupt with intricate scams to exact revenge for their victims - and making a bit of cash for themselves in the process. They begin by taking on a dealer who is famous for parting the elderly from their possessions for a pittance and trading stolen gold for a huge profit. Keen to give him a taste of his own medicine, the con artists pose as a renegade army unit, and soon have the crook champing at the bit with the promise of a consignment of looted Libyan treasure.   The gang is forced to help a former hustler when he posts himself to Eddie's bar as part of an elaborate prison break. Cool Hand Cooper was locked up for stealing a cache of diamonds and managed to bury them before he was caught, but after discovering they belong to a notorious Mafia family, he is desperate to return them to their rightful owner

• Season 7 Episode 5: EPISODE: 5

  Ash learns his childhood football team has been duped out of money by ruthless agent Don Coleman, whose actions have left the club bankrupt. The hustlers hope to exact revenge by including him in a lucrative deal to sign Sean, who poses as a talented striker, and then reel him in with an investment proposal. However, their scam is put in jeopardy when Ash develops a rare condition that prevents him from lying. Guest starring David Harewood (Robin Hood), with Robert Glenister and Matt Di Angelo

  The friends attend the funeral of a former grifter who had a long history with the gang, but Ash discovers their old acquaintance faked his death because he was in financial trouble. After the conman reveals the identity of the shady credit lender he is indebted to, the hustlers decide to stage a scam to help him and make some money for themselves in the process.   Albert is angered to learn his great-great-grandfather Charlie is known as the first cheat ever caught by Wendell Casinos, a famous American chain, and is prepared to pay any price to clear his name. He proposes a high-stakes deal on the roulette wheel to the current owner, who will watch the game throughout, leaving the team members to rely on their wealth of expertise to outsmart him. • Season 7 Episode 2: EPISODE: 2

  An old flame of Emma's interrupts a small-scale con, but her subsequent discovery that he has fallen prey to a disreputable money-lending business presents the hustlers with their next mark. A title to prove her eminence along with a castle are used to entice the company founder, the socially ambitious Georgina Althorp (Waterloo Road star Angela Griffin), but the gang soon realises that the ruthless businesswoman is not at all an easy target.   The five con artists are unsure who to target out of three new marks picked by Albert, but when Eddie's niece is caught up in a scam, they pounce on the trickster. The ex-model has turned to stealing money from naive young women who hope to make it in the business, so the team comes up with a plan to make her invest in a new line of clothing for Milan Fashion Week, and play on her superstitions to seal the deal. Hustle: Season 6 (2010)

• Season 6 Episode 6: The Hush Heist

  The con-artists find themselves in prison when one of the marks involved in their most recent deal turns out to be an undercover police officer. Two MI6 agents arrive to question Mickey and present him with a proposition - the members of his team will receive a pardon if they steal the unknown contents of a security box in the National Bank of Syria. With no choice but to agree, Ash sets about finding a way into the vault, but high security levels threaten their success. Starring Adrian Lester

• Season 6 Episode 5: Conned Out Of Luck

  When Mickey is conned during the online purchase of a mobile phone, he becomes convinced the incident has guaranteed him a run of bad luck. In an attempt to restore his confidence, the team plots against the man responsible, slimy businessman Mervyn Lloyd, who dreams of working with famous entrepreneurs but lacks the integrity and morals to do so. Dragons' Den investors Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne appear as themselves

• Season 6 Episode 4: Father of the Jewels

  Sean becomes determined to get even with his and Emma's property developer dad, who walked out on them 25 years earlier, and recover the money owed in back-dated child support. He persuades the gang to help him run a version of the 'treasure map' con, but doubts arise and he soon finds himself out of his depth. Starring Matt Di Angelo

• Season 6 Episode 3: Tiger Troubles

  When a notorious hard-man demands half a million pounds from Albert by the end of the week, the team tries to raise the cash by targeting a wannabe playboy in possession of a gold tiger worth a vast amount of money. Emma is sent to persuade the owner to lend the item to a major museum, in the hope the gang can steal it, but an impenetrable vault causes complications. Guest starring former Doctor Who star Colin Baker and Lolita Chakrabarti (Adrian Lester's real-life wife)

• Season 6 Episode 2: The Thieving Mistake

  While at the airport seeing Albert off on a trip, the team encounters 'Liability' Finch, a hapless friend of Ash who is in hot water with a customs officer and a Russian art collector as a result of a bungled painting theft. Despite being ordered by Mickey to lie low and avoid trouble, Sean sets out to help Finch, with disastrous consequences. Guest starring Mark Benton, with Adrian Lester and Matt Di Angelo

• Season 6 Episode 1: And this Little Piggy had Money

  As brother-and-sister duo Sean and Emma continue to be beneficial to the team, Albert is busy priming the next unsuspecting victim - former banker Piggy Richardson, who has been hounded by the media following a public pension scandal. However, everything is thrown into disarray when a mysterious woman enquires about Mickey's whereabouts. Starring Robert Vaughn and Adrian Lester

• Season 5 Episode 6: The Road Less Travelled

  Victims Carlton Wood and Harry Fielding set out for revenge and initiate a counter-con to recoup their money. Recruiting others who have fallen foul of Mickey and his team, they plant bumbling aristocrat Alfie Baron in one of Albert's poker games. When the hustlers invest £1million and the money exchanges hands, it looks as though the legendary Mickey Bricks has finally been beaten. Last in the series

• Season 5 Episode 5: Politics

  A local drop-in centre for problem kids is about to be knocked down after ruthless MP Rhona Christie de-lists the building for a profit. Manager Lennie seeks help from the con artists, who realise they could benefit from discovering how Christie does her back-handed deals. As Sean goes undercover in her office, Albert and Emma borrow the identity of a billionaire property developer and his wife, but growing tension in the team looks set to threaten the entire operation

• Season 5 Episode 4: Diamond Seeker

  A priceless diamond falls into the con artists' possession, but their good fortune turns out be more of a curse when they discover ruthless millionaire Toby Baxter is prepared to track it down at any cost, sending in notorious tracer Pinky Byrne to hunt down Mickey and the crew. To ensure their safety, he sends Emma in to convince Baxter they have lost the jewel, but a slip-up on her story lands her in grave danger

• Season 5 Episode 3: Lest Ye Be Judged

  The team targets a corrupt judge who was offered a cut during a notorious gold bullion robbery in the 1990s, but never got his hands on the bounty. Mickey poses as a journalist and tells the Honourable Sir Anthony Kent he knows how to get to the treasure, but that the information comes at a price. Meanwhile, it looks as though the Governor has got the evidence she needs to keep Albert behind bars for good

• Season 5 Episode 2: New Recruits

  Brother-and-sister duo Emma and Sean Kennedy join the team, and Mickey decides to introduce them to the long con, targeting two ruthless businessmen who specialise in acquiring other people's patents and launching them as their own. Carlton Wood and Harry Fielding have stolen a foolproof security system from a family firm, but Mickey thinks he has found a way to give them a taste of their own medicine when he sends in his new recruits to offer their services as PR experts

• Season 5 Episode 1: Return of the Prodigal

  New series of the drama about a team of con artists. Mickey Bricks returns to London following his stint in Australia, but finds the capital has been hit by the credit crunch and his crew has reduced in numbers. However, a tip-off from his mentor Albert focuses his attention on a pair of obnoxious property developers who are keen to make a quick buck on the Stock Exchange.   Albert tries to keep a low profile in Las Vegas, but is attacked by the vengeful son of a dead Mafia boss whose casino he ripped off in the past. The team plot their payback by targeting the $5million jackpot of a fruit machine that was built in the deceased's memory and encased in a fish tank.   Ruthless nursing home boss Veronica Powell has locked Eddie the barman into a contract that will cost him £50,000 to get out of, so the gang decide to pay her back. The team set out to con the thief by offering to help with his next job, but it isn't long before they realise they are being set up and must take drastic action to save their skins. • Season 3 Episode 5: Royal Scoop

  A newspaper editor and his sneaky reporter publish untrue reports about Stacie's close friend Emily, so Mickey and the team step into action to find a way of exposing their greed and immorality. They come up with a con involving a far-fetched tale claiming the Queen Mother actually died during the Blitz and a double was drafted in to take her place, and convince the journalists to print it

• Season 3 Episode 4: The Bollywood Dream

  An old friend of Albert's asks for his help in bringing down ruthless sweatshop owner Kulvinda Samar, who has caused his family and the Asian community a great deal of pain. The team discovers he is a Bollywood fanatic and steps into action with a classic movie-investor con, but the plot is jeopardised when the group become almost too good at the job in hand. • Season 3 Episode 3: Whittaker Our Way Out

  Con artist JW3 arrives on the scene hoping for revenge on the bank responsible for ruining his grandfather - who sold fake gold mines on the stock market. The team step into action, with Danny posing as a City businessman, but it's not long before they come unstuck and realise their ally could be just as deceitful as they are. • Season 3 Episode 2: The Henderson Challenge

  Albert tries to resolve the rivalry between Mickey and Danny using a traditional American con-man's challenge. Both are left naked in the middle of London, and have six hours to make as much money as possible with nothing but their wits and charm to go on. The winner gets to lead the gang, the loser walks away

• Season 3 Episode 1: Price for Fame

  The team returns from Las Vegas in need of money, and a pub landlord (Mel Smith) involved in smuggling illegal immigrants is their next target. The crooked bar owner's son harbours dreams of being a hip-hop star, so Mickey poses as a record company executive and offers to make him famous - for a price. Guest starring Sara Cox and Linford Christie

• Season 2 Episode 6: Eye of the Beholder

  Mickey plans to steal a valuable diamond that forms part of the Crown Jewels on display in a gallery, by cutting power to the security systems. Unfortunately, the police appear to be a step ahead of the team

• Season 2 Episode 5: Old Acquaintance

  Stacie is reunited with her husband Jake, a high-stakes poker player who walked out on her five years ago, leaving her penniless. The gang decides to exact revenge by making him the target of their latest scheme - Albert will claim to be a fellow professional gambler and invite him to a game on the pretext of fleecing a wealthy opponent, then proceed to take him for everything he's got. However, when Jake explains to Stacie why he left, she begins to question where her loyalties lie. Max Beesley guest stars

• Season 2 Episode 4: Missions

  The team plans to rip off an auction house dealing in rare comic-books, but the plan goes awry when police officer Sam Williams finally tracks them down. However, the corrupt detective hasn't come to arrest them - she wants a cut of the profits, and threatens them with imprisonment if they don't agree. Fay Ripley guest stars

• Season 2 Episode 3: The Lesson

  Danny takes on a protege, despite the rest of the group's reluctance. Their latest target is a ruthless Nigerian businessman who is determined to get his hands on a particularly rare banknote, which the gang plan to forge. However, the new recruit doesn't restrict his trickery to the rich and corrupt, and when the scheme goes awry he resolves to stitch up both the elderly collector who owns the priceless note and his own partners in crime

• Season 2 Episode 2: Confessions

  The gang's latest target is celebrity chef Johnny Keyes, who reveals to 'priest' Albert that he is determined to track down his kidnapped son. Danny steps in to play the role, complete with a bogus blood test to prove his parentage - but his lack of culinary skill may cause problems

• Season 2 Episode 1: Gold Mine

  The team visits veteran grifter Harry Holmes, who is behind bars after trying to swindle a crooked property developer. Danny is determined to succeed where Holmes failed and, despite Mickey's concern over his methods, arranges the group's most ambitious scheme to date - faking the existence of a gold mine in the middle of London.   The team attempt an ambitious scheme nobody has pulled off in 100 years. The target is a businessman with a £500,000 golden handshake in his back pocket and a weakness for horse racing. To separate him from his money, they're going to have to build a gambling club from scratch, and contend with a vengeful former mark

• Season 1 Episode 5: A Touch of Class

  Ash's ex-wife and fellow grifter is suffering from brain damage, so the team plan a swindle to raise the money for her treatment. The target is a wealthy businesswoman, and Mickey pulls out all the stops to charm her away from her cash

• Season 1 Episode 4: Cops and Robbers

  Mickey is forced to help his bitter enemy, hard-nosed former copper Victor Maher, catch cunning bank robber Sam Richards. However, when the thief tells Albert the reasons behind his crimes, he is soon brought in on the team's next job, turning the tables on the increasingly smug Maher and providing Mickey with his well-timed revenge.   Mickey and the team sets their sights on duping sharp-tongued art collector Meredith Gates into buying what purports to be a painting that could redefine the boundaries of neoplasticism.
