• Season 4 Episode 8: EPISODE: 8

  Juliet is confused about the situation with Sam after he invites her to Hawaii, and she confides in an old friend - little realising their conversation will have dire consequences. Tony ends up in trouble with the police after returning to Babylon on his night off to help a regular guest with a serious problem, and Gino finds a manuscript for an erotic novel by a mystery member of staff. Meanwhile, Ben gives new receptionist Mel a makeover. Michelle Collins joins Nigel Harman, Anna Wilson-Jones and Amy Nuttall in the cast

  James is promised a promotion if he ensures the extravagant funeral of famous Sicilian artist Christiano Cucci is a success, but an ill-timed comment by Gino threatens to ruin his chances. Meanwhile, Tony makes a shocking discovery about a teenage swimming prodigy and James is impressed with an elderly member of a government trainee scheme.   Emily organises a poker tournament, but is shocked to discover her estranged hotelier father is among the players. Their already strained relationship deteriorates further when she discovers he is trying to force Sam into selling Babylon to him. Tony swaps places with an American author who looks uncannily like him, while James, Gino and Ben's attempts to dupe a Greek heiress backfire.   Treasure hunters flock to the hotel following the posthumous publication of a famous thief's autobiography in which he claims to have hidden valuable emeralds in Babylon. Events take a dramatic turn when Anna goes into labour, and Juliet hands Tony the task of looking after a senile film star. Meanwhile, Gino has his trust betrayed. Tony Robinson and Honor Blackman guest star, with a cameo by Michael Winner and the reappearance of Max Beesley as Charlie

  Sam learns a lesson about hotel management when he ignores Juliet's advice and allows two rival boxers to stay. After getting caught up in the relationship difficulties of a feuding celebrity couple, Anna finally names her unborn baby's father - a revelation that comes as a big surprise to several colleagues - and a corrupt environmental standards inspector visits Babylon, but quickly arouses suspicion. However, a millionaire is among a crowd of people seeking refuge in the establishment following a terror alert in central London, and he is so impressed with the staff's professionalism he decides to buy Babylon. Meanwhile, Anna is nearly eight months' pregnant but is in denial about the baby's father. Nigel Harman (EastEnders) and Anna Wilson-Jones (The Time of Your Life) join the regular cast

• Season 3 Episode 8: EPISODE: 8

  Jack and Emily are caught up in a hostage situation when a faith healer comes to stay and clashes with a bereaved father who has brought his son's ashes to the hotel. Ned makes a romantic gesture to Anna, but the celebrations are cut short when she goes to investigate the noises coming from another room. Guest starring Samantha Bond. Last in series

• Season 3 Episode 7: EPISODE: 7

  A TV chat show host brings a prostitute to the hotel, causing Tony's father-instinct to kick in when he discovers she is just 15. Anna and Ben compete to attract the attentions of a famous illusionist, and with the restaurant now a roaring success, James has to hire more staff - which puts Gino's nose out of joint. • Season 3 Episode 6: EPISODE: 6

  A movie is shot on location at the hotel, but the stars do not get on and it is Jack's job to keep both of them happy. Gino and Ben compete for the attentions of the director in a bid to be 'noticed', and Anna is preoccupied by thoughts of Charlie which do not go away even when Ned invites her to accompany him on a trip to New York.   Charlie feels the pressure of management when he receives a letter from head office criticising his accounting and the chambermaids threaten to go on strike over unpaid wages. The arrival of an old friend visiting a jewellery auction hosted at the hotel perks him up, but a further financial crisis leads him to seek help from an unsuitable source and brings danger to everyone in the building

  Tony is surprised when his 13-year-old daughter arrives for a west End audition, but a crisis stops him giving her the attention she craves. Charlie sets the socially inept final deputy manager candidate a challenge, and Gino's brother pays him a visit, but when the sibling wins over the staff and even makes better cocktails, jealousy sets in.   The hotel faces a takeover by Donovan Credo (guest star John Sessions) a man notorious for replacing staff with his own teams. When he tells Rebecca she can keep on just two of her colleagues, she opts for Charlie before letting him decide on the other. As news spreads of the potential job losses, Charlie then resigns, forcing the boss to reveal the truth behind the buy-out. Last in series

  Charlie has more than his fair share of trouble when his relationship with Rebecca turns Jackie green with envy. As he tries to keep the peace, his brother Dan turns up - with the heavies hot on his heels. Anna's curiosity leads her to investigate an 'end of the world' cult, whose sinister leader, played by Little Britain's David Walliams, quickly draws her under his spell

  Rebecca tries to help an MP get over her husband's affair by suggesting she flirt with a guest at the bar - unaware he is actually an undercover reporter.   The company receives a terrible inspection report and could be forced to make cuts, but Tony prepares to go to extreme lengths to ensure he doesn't lose his job. Charlie anxiously takes charge of a witness in a high-profile gangland case, and Rebecca is thrilled when the hotel's European director arrives and offers her a promotion

  Joan Collins plays wealthy guest Lady Patton, who has £3,000 stolen from her room. Rebecca believes a staff member is responsible for the theft and starts a thorough audit of the employees, but suspicion eventually falls on a light-fingered celebrity (Les Dennis) who just can't stop stealing towels.
