In a special episode filmed in Ghana, Diane goes in search of Ric to persuade him to return home. She finds him working in his brother's clinic, the only available source of medical care for the local community, which is in desperate need of funding. An outraged Ric demands she take the first flight back to the UK, declaring that he's needed where he is. But Diane is not convinced his reasons for staying are entirely altruistic, and investigates unresolved conflicts in his family concerning the death of his father. As she prepares to return home, an emergency involving a pregnant woman brings their personal and professional dilemmas to a head. Adrian Edmondson guest stars
