Holby City Season 10 Episode 11
Elliot's Wonderful Life
« Previous | Next »Season 10 Episode 11
Special festive episode inspired by James Stewart classic It's a Wonderful Life. The pressure's on for the cardiology team - having attended to the casualties of the crossbow shooting as best they can, they still have the matter of young Izzy and her heart transplant. However, Elliot's distracted by the news of his son's prison sentence and walks out of the theatre in a daze, trudging through the snow to the nearest bridge with every intention of throwing himself off. Just as he's climbing the barrier, he's interrupted by an elderly gentleman (Richard Briers) who introduces himself as George and asks if Elliot can help a woman about to give birth. This reminds the medic of a similar case at the start of his career, and makes him wish he had never been born - and sure enough, in the style of the aforementioned feelgood movie, George grants that wish and takes the disillusioned doc on a tour of a world without him in it. Paul Bradley stars, with Amanda Mealing, Robert Powell, Luke Roberts, Gillian Bevan, Keeley Forsyth, Jack O'Connor and Paul McNeilly- Online
