First episode of the BBC TV adaptation of Douglas Adams' cult sci-fi comedy. Arthur Dent thinks he has problems when he wakes to find his house under threat of demolition, but things go from bad to worse when he discovers his friend Ford Prefect is in fact an extraterrestrial living on Earth for research purposes and that the whole planet is under threat of demolition from aliens, who want to build a hyperspace bypass.
