The work of American minimalists Terry Reilly and Steve Reich is featured alongside compositions by their British counterparts Cornelius Cardew, Gavin Bryars and Michael Nyman, who provided a refreshing contrast to the rigid musical dogmas of Stockhausen and his fellow serialists
