Amanda Burton stars as Crown Prosecutor Helen West in the first of three murder mysteries based on the novels by Frances Fyfield. The death of a pharmacist's apparently healthy middle-aged wife arouses Helen's suspicions, and though her partner Chief Superintendent Bailey doesn't share her enthusiasm for reviewing the case, she finds an ally in trainee chemist Kim Perry. It's up to the ladies to press their case and together they discover a shocking truth. With Michael Byrne, Dermot Crowley and Annabelle Apsion
