Bethan is released from the police station without charge, but the scandal of her arrest is not long in reaching Andrew's father, who gives his son an ultimatum : either he takes up another post in London or Bethan loses her nursing job. Reluctantly, the lovestruck medic packs his bags for the capital, leaving his girlfriend in despair : especially when she discovers she is pregnant.
