Hardware: Season 2 (2004)

• Season 2 Episode 6: Celebrity

  The staff are delighted when actor Peter Davison visits the shop and leaves behind a signed photo - prompting Anne and Julie to fake a series of pictures of other celebrities who 'frequent' the establishment. Meanwhile, Mike faces a harsh wake-up call when a lively football game leaves him in a wheelchair. Last in the series of the comedy, starring Martin Freeman and Susan Earl

  Mike discovers his journalistic skills leave much to be desired when he's awarded his own column in the local newspaper - only for the rag to receive complaints from readers claiming they have been misinformed. • Season 2 Episode 4: Loser

  A tool demonstrator arrives at the DIY shop to show off a state-of-the-art gadget, but his sales technique leaves a lot to be desired. Rex is barred from the cafe, prompting him to take drastic action. Comedy, starring Martin Freeman and Ken Morley

  Business at the shop reaches an all-time low, prompting Rex to let one of the employees go - and Kenny is devastated to learn he's been given the boot. At the cafe, a handsome artist offers Anne £1,000 to pose nude, but she refuses in the hope of sparing Mike's feelings - only to discover her other half doesn't think it's such a bad idea after all.   The shop staff dupe Rex into believing he's shrinking as he gets older, prompting their gullible victim to invest in a pair of platform shoes. • Season 2 Episode 1: B*stard

  Kenny brings his children into the store, where the staff soon point out his son bears little resemblance to him - prompting the shocked patriarch to demand a DNA test, suspecting his wife has been unfaithful. Thankfully the results put his mind at rest - news which gives the gang the perfect excuse to make good use of the cafe's new alcohol licence. Hardware: Season 1 (2003)

• Season 1 Episode 6: Hutch

  Kenny ropes the lads into helping him build a hi-tech guinea pig hutch complete with swimming pool, while Mike extends the hand of hospitality to a temporarily homeless Rex : who promptly takes over his entire flat and has the temerity to invite a few friends along for good measure. Last in series, starring Martin Freeman, Ken Morley and Peter Serafinowicz

  Enticed by the prospect of a big boost to his wages, Mike applies for a job at the detested DIY superstore, while back at Hamway's Hardware, the lads try to entice more women through the door by 'feminising' the premises : much to the consternation of regular male customers

• Season 1 Episode 4: Finger

  Steve accidentally slices off his finger while using a circular saw, causing all-out panic in the shop, while Mike's girlfriend Anne does the unthinkable and goes shopping at a DIY superstore. Comedy, starring Martin Freeman, Ken Morley, Ryan Cartwright, Peter Serafinowicz and Susan Earl

• Season 1 Episode 3: Bondage

  Anne tells Mike she thinks they ought to spice up their sex life by experimenting with a spot of bondage : but isn't prepared for the disconcerting enthusiasm with which he embraces the idea. It isn't just his Heath Robinson system of ropes and pulleys she objects to, but the discovery that he's started sharing all their intimate secrets with the lads back at the shop

• Season 1 Episode 2: Naked

  Mike steadfastly resists a management attempt to make the staff wear identical uniforms, convinced it's a move designed to rob them of their individuality : but a visit from Anne's surprisingly attractive mother soon diverts his attention to more personal matters.   Comedy series from the pen of Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye, following the trials and triumphs faced by the staff of Hamway's Hardware, a traditional DIY store manned by best friends Mike and Kenny, manager Rex and student Steve. A customer's suicide attempt convinces Mike he must try to be nicer to the clientele and Julie from the local cafe sets Steve up on a blind date.
