  • Season 2 Episode 6: Celebrity

    The staff are delighted when actor Peter Davison visits the shop and leaves behind a signed photo - prompting Anne and Julie to fake a series of pictures of other celebrities who 'frequent' the establishment.   • Season 1 Episode 6: Hutch

    Kenny ropes the lads into helping him build a hi-tech guinea pig hutch complete with swimming pool, while Mike extends the hand of hospitality to a temporarily homeless Rex : who promptly takes over his entire flat and has the temerity to invite a few friends along for good measure. Last in series, starring Martin Freeman, Ken Morley and Peter Serafinowicz

  • Season 1 Episode 5: Women

    Enticed by the prospect of a big boost to his wages, Mike applies for a job at the detested DIY superstore, while back at Hamway's Hardware, the lads try to entice more women through the door by 'feminising' the premises : much to the consternation of regular male customers

    Steve accidentally slices off his finger while using a circular saw, causing all-out panic in the shop, while Mike's girlfriend Anne does the unthinkable and goes shopping at a DIY superstore. Comedy, starring Martin Freeman, Ken Morley, Ryan Cartwright, Peter Serafinowicz and Susan Earl

    Anne tells Mike she thinks they ought to spice up their sex life by experimenting with a spot of bondage : but isn't prepared for the disconcerting enthusiasm with which he embraces the idea. It isn't just his Heath Robinson system of ropes and pulleys she objects to, but the discovery that he's started sharing all their intimate secrets with the lads back at the shop

    Mike steadfastly resists a management attempt to make the staff wear identical uniforms, convinced it's a move designed to rob them of their individuality : but a visit from Anne's surprisingly attractive mother soon diverts his attention to more personal matters.
