  Jessa makes a bad impression on Thomas-John's parents, while Shoshanna has doubts about her relationship with Ray. However, when Marnie makes a surprise appearance, Charlie is caught between girlfriends past and present and the evening quickly goes off the rails

  The return of the comedy following the exploits of four twenty-something Brooklyn women.   Charlie is reeling after discovering Marnie's true feelings about him in Hannah's diary and ends up storming out of the girls' apartment, setting Marnie off on a mission to win him back. Jessa arranges to meet the only guy ever to dump her and also persuades Hannah to embrace the sexual advances of her boss in the name of literary inspiration, with predictably uncomfortable results

However, his discovery of Hannah's diary leads to a devastating revelation for Charlie. Meanwhile, Jessa gets a scare when she loses the Lavoyt kids at the park, and Shoshanna's quest to lose her virginity continues when she arranges a date with an old friend from summer camp
