Billy Connolly stars as Edwardian artist Kingdom Swann, who swaps canvas for camera and builds a thriving photography business : only to be exploited by his darkroom assistant, who has spotted a gap in the fast-growing market and persuades his boss to experiment with nude tableaux. Period romp, co-starring Sarah Lancashire as Swann's prim but steadfast housekeeper, who secretly carries a torch for her master, and Douglas Henshall as his unscrupulous right-hand man.
