Documentary following a gay male couple living in New York, who decide they want to have a child. On the Internet, they encounter Wen, a computer programmer, who is keen to act as a surrogate mother so she can give others 'the gift of family'. However, the journey to parenthood is not an easy one, and the prospective fathers experience feelings of failure and self-doubt, while Wen suffers a miscarriage
