  The day of the big game arrives and the Lions are determined to overcome the odds and beat the Panthers, with Coach Taylor delivering a rousing pre-match speech. Tami opts for a change of strategy as she prepares to make her public apology, Julie ponders her future after being reunited with Matt, and Tim makes a decision that will change his life for ever

• Season 4 Episode 12: Labouring

  Coach Taylor tells Luke he's not in the team for the vital game against the Panthers, before dealing with the fallout from West Dillon's decision to play dirty. Superintendent Dunley visits Tami and asks her to make an apology that would compromise her principles and Vince is persuaded to take part in a raid to avenge his friend's death - can Jess change his mind?

• Season 4 Episode 11: Injury List

  Tami has to defend herself when a parent holds her responsible for Becky's decision to have an abortion and calls for her removal as school principal. Tim makes a big purchase using the money from the car-chopping scheme and celebrates with Becky and Cheryl, although the mood quickly sours. • Season 4 Episode 6: Stay

  Tim and Lyla revisit their relationship and he tries to persuade her to stick around, while Julie and Matt enjoy a weekend away in Austin - without Tami's knowledge.   Matt is forced to confront long-suppressed feelings about his father after receiving news from Iraq - and sadly, it's too late to make amends. Tim struggles to find somewhere to live, while Matt endures rather than enjoys an internship with an abrasive local artist, while romance could be on the cards for Landry

• Season 4 Episode 1: East of Dillon

  Coach Taylor faces an uphill battle to pull his new team the East Dillon Lions together, thanks to a lack of funding, qualified coaching staff and, seemingly, talent. While Tami warily navigates new school politics, Buddy questions his allegiance to the Panthers, now under the rule of Coach Aikmen and Joe McCoy, while Tim is inspired by a college lecture

Friday Night Lights: Season 3 (2008 - 2009)

• Season 3 Episode 13: Tomorrow Blues

  It has been five months since the state championship and changes abound as everyone makes big decisions about their future. Tim has second thoughts about his next step, while Matt heads off to college, but not before saying painful goodbyes to his grandmother and Julie. Landry and Tyra also find themselves at a crossroads, Lyla's dreams lie in the hands of her estranged uncle, and Coach Taylor considers a different, not to mention difficult, path when his contract comes up for renegotiation

  Buddy tries his hardest to get back into Lyla's good books, while romance is rekindled when Landry and Tyra decide to give their relationship another go. Matt looks toward a bright future in Chicago, but can't stand the thought of leaving his ailing grandmother behind, while on the pitch, all eyes are on the Panthers as they compete in the state championship against a tough team

• Season 3 Episode 11: A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall

  Still reeling from the revelation that her father gambled away her college fund, Lyla learns she has been accepted by her number one choice. Tyra asks Landry for help, while tensions between Joe and JD reach boiling point and the pair come to blows. Matt's grandmother's mental health continues to deteriorate, leading to a heart-breaking conversation with his mother

• Season 3 Episode 10: The Giving Tree

  After a run-in with the law, Buddy is forced to come clean to Lyla about his financial troubles, including the loss of her college fund. Coach Taylor catches Julie and Matt sleeping together and Landry's nerves are tested when he agrees to tutor Tyra for her SATs. Drama, starring Brad Leland

• Season 2 Episode 10: There Goes the Neighborhood

  The Panthers agree to temporarily share their facilities with players from a rival school whose training ground has been hit by a tornado - even though the two teams are set to play each other in the near future.   Coach Taylor nervously awaits the league's verdict on whether Voodoo Tatum was illegally recruited, which could lead to the Panthers' victory over the Tigers being overturned. However, he faces a new problem when defensive end Bobby Reyes assaults a fellow student at a sandwich shop - an incident which causes animosity between the team and the rest of the school, and has particularly serious repercussions for Matt and best friend Landry Clarke.   Coach Taylor is forced to choose whether to pick Voodoo or Matt as quarterback for the Panthers' clash with arch-rivals the Tigers. Lyla continues her affair with Tim Riggins, though it becomes clear that neither of them is happy with the current arrangement, while Herc decides to give Jason a glimpse of his future and Tyra spends time with a visitor from out of town

  The Panthers prepare to face their bitterest rivals, the Arnett Mead Tigers, but quarterback Voodoo Tatum is proving to be a divisive figure among his teammates.
