  The boys discover they have been paying their rent in the wrong currency, forcing Eugene to evict them. • Season 1 Episode 12: The Third Conchord

  Murray hires a bongo player to make the band a trio - a move which does not go down well with Jemaine and Bret, who quit and form the rival band The Original Flight of the Conchords. Last in series

• Season 1 Episode 11: The Actor

  Jemaine and Bret try to cheer up Murray after a disappointing gig by hiring an actor to place a friendly rejection call. However, the performer gets carried away and offers them a fake record contract that turns out too good to be true

• Season 1 Episode 9: What Goes on Tour

  Murray uses the band's emergency fund to send the boys on tour in preparation for a gig in Central Park, but they fail to get past the airport bar after meeting up with members of a women's water-polo team

• Season 1 Episode 8: Girlfriends

  Both band members pick up women at a croissant shop, but have very different dating experiences even after they have swapped partners. Murray agrees a deal with a man claiming to be Quincy Jones' brother, but it soon proves much too good to be true

  As Bret and Jemaine prepare to go to war with a fruit vendor, Murray falls for the attractive tech-support woman at the New Zealand consulate, but because he is too shy to tell her how he feels, he gets the boys to write her into a love song

• Season 1 Episode 6: Bowie

  Comments by Murray make Bret insecure about his body until helpful advice comes from David Bowie in a dream. Unfortunately, negotiations for a possible deal to include one of the pair's songs in a musical greetings card add to the stresses both singers are feeling

• Season 1 Episode 5: Sally Returns

  Jemaine reconnects with Sally and consequently moves out of the apartment. Bret then becomes fixated on his friend's ex, at the expense of his relationship with Coco. Murray invests some of the pair's money in stars, but Jemaine's goes supernova

• Season 1 Episode 4: Yoko

  Bret starts dating Coco, a woman he met while in the sign-holding job, but refuses to let Jemaine tag along. This rejection prompts him and Murray to decide the new girlfriend is intent on breaking up the group, leading to Bret siding with Coco and quitting the band

• Season 1 Episode 3: Mugged

  Bret runs away after he and Jemaine are mugged in broad daylight, causing his friend to lose trust in him. Further strain is put on the relationship when Jemaine is arrested along with their attacker and begins to bond with him

• Season 1 Episode 2: Bret Gives Up the Dream

  Faced with dire financial circumstances, the two musicians are forced to get jobs. Unfortunately this means Bret cannot devote much time to the band - so Murray and Jemaine start looking for a more reliable replacement. Comedy, starring Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie and Rhys Darby
