Kay Mellor's bittersweet drama returns, catching up with the dieters as they struggle to maintain an active lifestyle in a bid to attain the elusive ideal weight. Salsa isn't everyone's cup of tea however, and it's not long before slimming consultant Carol turns up, armed with a batch of freshly printed diet sheets and ready to recruit the gang into her calorie-counting programme. Meanwhile, Betty struggles to come to terms with motherhood again, and Kevin finds it tough dealing with new wife Kelly's demands. Alison Steadman, Gaynor Faye and Janet Dibley return, with Lisa Riley and Lynda Baron joining the cast
