• Scary

  New series in which viewers are invited to vote for their favourite animals in a top 10 countdown. The first episode focuses on the scariest creatures on the planet, including the ferocious great white shark, the elegant but dangerous Bengal tiger and hairy legged spiders of Australia. The winner will reach the grand final held on May 4

• Show-Offs

  A visit to Madagascar, where dancing lemurs, dolphin acrobatics and a deep-sea firework display are featured. Meanwhile, in the desert dunes of Namibia, a lizard takes part in a funky dune dance, and in Antarctica penguins 'perform' on ice

• Sports Stars

  A look at the sports stars of the animal kingdom, from cheetahs on the plains of Africa to a remarkable flying squirrel. The viewers decide which creature gets to take their place in the grand final

• Top Team

  Footage of animals working together in teams, featuring lions co-ordinating a hunt, meerkats protecting each other in the face of danger, and army ants marching in their millions. Viewers can vote for their favourite by texting 62222 or via the CBBC website at bbc.co.uk/cbbc. The results can be seen tomorrow at 4.30pm

• Tough Nuts

  Natural history footage of the 10 toughest animals on the planet, featuring the 3,000 kg polar bear, flamingos that live in acid and the cricket that can survive when frozen. The most extreme animal, as voted for by viewers, will be revealed in the final show next week

• Ultimate Collection

  Find out who will be crowned the ultimate extreme animal.

• Weird

  Footage of the 10 strangest creatures, including a mole with tentacles on its nose, a pregnant male seahorse and a bearded mussel. Viewers can vote by text or online for the animal they want to see in the grand final
