Europe: A Natural History Season 1 Episode 4
A New Millennium
« PreviousSeason 1 Episode 4
Speculating on what the future may hold for the continent. As human habitation spreads across Europe, the wildlife has had to adapt or perish. The programme examines which species have thrived and which suffered, and what can be done to preserve the ecosystem. While many animals have adjusted to urban living remarkably well, larger predators, such as wolves, bears and lynx have become rarer as civilisation has expanded. Plus, how climate change and the introduction of new wildlife through international trade could lead to further surprises in years to come. Last in series- Online
