Arthur Stace, an Australian World War One veteran and recovering alcoholic, is inspired by a revelatory moment in a soup kitchen chapel to spend 40 years chalking the word 'eternity' on the streets of Sydney. Based on a true story, the film explores the changes that took place in both the city and the man over those four decades.
