Synopsis:
Abby has a few unpleasant birthday surprises, including the news that her ex-husband is engaged and Kovac plans to leave town for two months to work in Bosnia. Carter has an uncomfortable encounter with the patient who stabbed him two years earlier, and questions his mother's motives for returning to Chicago to care for his grandmother
