Viv and Bob call a family meeting to discuss the future of the twins but Louise has a suggestion of her own about the business
• 01/08/2008 Daz and Jake take one of the Kings' vans for a joyride and try to hide the evidence when they crash into a tree. Debbie confides in Jasmine about her financial troubles as Carl continues to badger her about her mortgage payments, and Jimmy arranges a date over the Internet

Jo is angry with Andy for firing Jake, and Ross shows signs of jealousy when he sees an ecstatic Donna with Marlon after her husband announces he has been hired for the cookery programme
• 05/08/2008 Sam tries to kiss a horrified Jo but when he flees the house Andy returns unexpectedly and assumes his wife has been revealing too much about their relationship to her friend - causing him to lose his temper and give them both a severe beating. Jake tells Debbie he stole the Kings' van and suggests they sell the goods, while the Kings themselves keep a watchful eye on the village in a bid to identify the thief

Val is seething when she catches Pollard with Rosalind at the factory, but an admission soon reveals the real blackmailer

Val loans David money unaware it is being used to pay Pollard's debts. Pearl returns from her cruise and reveals Joe was asked to leave the ship

• 08/07/2008 Donald's daughter Anna arrives in the village and immediately ruffles feathers by asking her father to give her the business instead of Carl. Katie secretly books her Caesarean and blocks Gray from receiving any further information about the baby - revealing to Chas that she plans to put the baby up for adoption. Jake and Jasmine admit their feelings and share a kiss - just as a jealous Miles returns to witness it
• 08/08/2008 The factory workers are annoyed to learn they have to re-apply for their jobs after Pearl overhears Pollard discussing plans for expansion. Anna criticises Donald for not trying to find Miles, while Debbie, Jake and Daz set about returning the van - and all its goods - to the Kings

Jimmy hires Zak to drive Scarlett to school, but she has other ideas and goes shopping instead, and Pollard gives Lexi a job at the factory

Bob returns from his holiday and is annoyed that Brenda rearranged the shop and cafe in his absence, while Anna is delighted to finally get her own way
