Huw Edwards presents coverage of the third National Assembly elections as the results come in from around the country. The programme features expert analysis from Dr Laura McAllister and BBC Wales political editor Betsan Powys on how the people have voted as the 250 potential candidates are whittled down to just 60 members. The constituencies of Blaenau Gwent, Wrexham and Llanelli, where a mere 21 votes separated the leading candidates in 2003, will come under particular scrutiny, as will Aberconwy where all four major political parties claim to be hopeful of victory. In Cardiff North, the Conservatives hope to end a decade-long run of election defeats and it remains to be seen whether the once safe Plaid Cymru seat of Ceredigion will remain under Liberal Democrat control
