Must-see sci-fi fun as David Tennant returns for his second festive outing as the time-bending traveller - but sadly without sidekick Billie Piper, who was parted from the Doctor at the end of the last series and is now moping around in a parallel universe. It's already been announced that Freema Agyeman will be taking her place as the Doctor's new companion, but that's not until the new series in April. For now - as anyone who saw the closing seconds of the last episode will know - the Doctor has yet another lady in tow, none other than comedienne Catherine Tate. She plays Donna, a bride-to-be who's running late for her wedding, and has somehow materialised on board the Tardis. This results in a race to get her to the church on time - but when the mysterious Empress of Racnoss (Cutting It's Sarah Parish) joins the chase, it becomes clear Donna is the key to an ancient alien plan to destroy the Earth- Online
