Dialogues of the Dead : Part One
Part one of two. The chalk-and-cheese detective duo face their toughest case yet as they try to track down a serial killer with a penchant for words. At the scene of each crime, the culprit leaves behind a chilling document for the police, carefully written and lovingly illustrated, describing each murder in detail. The case begins at a short story contest, where one entry proves so graphic it prompts the police to revise their initial views of a recent fatal accident. So begins a desperate game of cat and mouse between a sinister foe and an increasingly concerned Dalziel and Pascoe, for whom the crimes are getting agonisingly close to home. Warren Clarke and Colin Buchanan star, with guest appearances from Dervla Kirwan, Lucy Davis, Jack Dee, John Sessions, Pauline McLynn and Bill Maynard. Based on the novel by Reginald Hill.
