    One of the CSIs is gunned down when media mogul Robert Dunbrook's son is kidnapped on the way to testify against his father in court.   • Season 5 Episode 24: Grounds for Deception

    The case involving Greek artefact smuggler Sebastian Diakos is reopened when his partner is murdered during a student theatre production at Chelsea University. Stella learns her old mentor Professor Papakota has been implicated in the case and heads to Greece to continue her inquiries, unprepared for the connection she finds between Papakota and her birth mother.   • Season 5 Episode 23: Greater Good

    When a man is released from an 18-month jail term for killing a cyclist, Mac reopens the case to investigate new evidence suggesting he was not the driver of the vehicle. Convinced the man was and still is covering for someone, Mac has a breakthrough when a background check on the ex-convict's daughter reveals a prior conviction for drink driving.     A jewellery appraiser is murdered at an exclusive auction and tests reveal the gun that killed him dates back to World War Two.     A man falls from media mogul Robert Dunbrook's window after a fight, but the body suddenly disappears - and Dunbrook says he was acting in self-defence.     When a vocal coach is murdered in a theatre, a string of bizarre evidence inspired by previous cases leads Stella to believe someone is playing the CSIs at their own game.   • Season 5 Episode 16: No Good Deed

    Stella gets a nasty shock when a passing buzzard drops a human eye into her coffee cup, prompting a race to find the body before the evidence is devoured by other scavengers. An attached contact lens leads the team to the remains of an internet entrepreneur, where a hidden camera in his apartment incriminates the victim's landlord.   • Season 5 Episode 13: Rush to Judgment

    The body parts of a murdered high-school wrestling coach are found scattered around the city, and Hawkes discovers he may have been responsible for e-mailing sexually explicit pictures of under-aged boys. Later evidence suggests two of his athletes could have hacked into his account and sent the images, but they deny killing him. Meanwhile, Flack is accused of using excessive force to subdue a suspect who died in his custody

  • Season 5 Episode 12: Help

    A woman is found dead after a scuffle with a rival customer at a bridal shop sale and the detectives realise she was once a victim of a serial rapist who has gone on to murder a subway musician. As the team tries to find a link between the two women, the case proves troubling for Hawkes, whose former girlfriend was attacked by the same man eight years previously.   • Season 5 Episode 10: The Triangle

    A security guard is found dead in the back of an armoured car and Sid discovers the victim's pacemaker exploded due to a blast of microwave energy that also knocked out the area's CCTV cameras. At first the investigators blame the freak incident on the Empire State Building's antennas, but when it emerges that an imposter posed as the guard to rob a bank, they suspect the work of an ex-convict linked to an experimental weapon

    The partially decomposed body of a teenage girl is discovered inside a crushed car at a scrap yard, and knife marks on her pelvis are found to have been inflicted after her death. The team learns the victim was pregnant when she was killed and then makes the gruesome discovery that her unborn child was snatched and may still be alive - prompting a race to rescue it and catch the murderer

    The team embarks on a desperate search to find the source of a radioactive substance that has already claimed three lives at a Maroon 5 concert, and hospitalised Sid, who was exposed while examining a body. Evidence leads them to the antiquities section of the New York library - and the finger of suspicion soon points to a former employee who bore a grudge against one of the victims.   • Season 5 Episode 1: Veritas

    Mac is found by the harbour in Jersey City, having narrowly escaped from a sinking car. Suffering from concussion, he is only able to recall scant detail of his kidnapping but the team is determined to track down his abductor and believes CCTV footage of the suspect driving through a toll barrier in another vehicle is just the lead needed.   • Season 4 Episode 21: Hostage

    In the last episode of the series, a robber takes an entire bank and its customers hostage, including Mac. However, the situation worsens, and the bank manager is shot dead, leaving Mac to consider whether the fatal bullet was really fired by the would-be thief. Gary Sinise stars

  • Season 3 Episode 24: Snow Day

    Flack leads a drugs bust that descends into an explosive shootout, discovering that the notorious crime lord they were after was murdered before the raid began. Things take a turn for the worse when Adam and Danny are kidnapped and the mobster's usurper launches an all-out attack on the crime lab to retrieve the seized cocaine.   • Season 3 Episode 23: ... Comes Around

    John McEnroe (guest-starring as himself) comes under suspicion for murder after witnesses claim the former tennis player was the last person to see the victim alive and was chatting with the man's fiancee. Meanwhile, the team support Mac during his disciplinary hearing over the death of Clay Dobson but find it hard to change the opinion of the prosecution. With Gary Sinise

  • Season 3 Episode 22: Cold Reveal

    A man dressed as an angel is killed when he falls through a church's stained-glass window. Mac comes under pressure when he is investigated following the suspicious death of Clay Dobson, while Stella also faces awkward questions from Philadelphia Detective Scotty Valens (Daniel Pino reprising his role from Cold Case) when her DNA is linked to a homicide in 1997.   • Season 3 Episode 19: A Daze of Wine and Roaches

    The tutor of a 15-year-old socialite meets her death as she poses alongside a mock guillotine at a French Revolution-themed event.     The team investigate the death of a dedicated paintballer, who was seemingly murdered when his killer swapped harmless ammunition for real bullets.     The team's investigation into the death of a girl found decapitated and hanging from a ceiling fan at a college party leads them to a website that sells a cult range of T-shirts. However, another body is discovered before they can figure out the link - throwing the detectives into a race against time to stop the killer striking again.
