Synopsis:
A performance in German of the composer's sacred oratorio, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Colin Davis. The soloists are soprano Sally Matthews, tenor Ian Bostridge and baritone Dietrich Henschel. Inspired by Handel's Messiah, this ambitious work is divided into three segments - part one and two give an account of the six days of the Creation, while part three features Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
