Jane Purcell's tale based on the life of Pidgie Rigney, who served as the Irish revolutionary's cook from 1918 to 1921, and ended up acting as a spy and gunrunner for the fledgling IRA. In 1917, Pidgie is recruited into the women's branch of the Republican movement. Sorcha Cusack stars alongside her real-life husband Finbar Lynch and sisters Niamh and Catherine.
