The history of the Communist Party of Great Britain, which was founded in 1920 and remained a small but key force until 1956, when political events in Poland and Hungary caused a substantial loss of membership. The party was eventually dissolved in 1991. Presenter Ivor Gaber talks to contemporaries of his father, staunch member Jack Gaber, including politician Denis Healey and playwright Arnold Wesker
