• Are You Fit Enough? New series. Exceptional young sportsmen compete at weight-lifting, then take on a mind-over-matter challenge and a fitness test. With guidance from experts in various combat sports
• Army Training (2004) The children take on the challenge of learning the basics of army combat training
• Camouflage and Concealment Ex-Marine Commando Major Phil Ashby offers an insight into a different side of combat arts as he discusses the real-life scenarios in which he has had to use his skills to survive
• Capoeira (2005) The children tackle capoeira, a fighting style brought to Brazil by African slaves
• Commando The gifted young sportsmen take on an assault course against the clock while under the watchful eye of commando Major Phil Ashby
• English Martial Arts (2004) The children learn the basics of English martial arts, which are considered the forerunner of modern boxing
• Fencing The children train to become experts in fencing, a sport widely taught during Elizabethan times
• Gladiators (2005) New series. Six children aged between 10 and 12 train to master different fighting sports, with the two best students facing each other in the arena and the lowest ranked facing a forfeit. The first challenge is to become Roman gladiators, learning unarmed combat and enduring the ancient fighters' unappetising diet
• Jeet Kune Do The students are taught jeet kune do, the version of kung fu developed by Bruce Lee. Martial arts expert Christie Bytom tests what they've learnt with a task using water balloons
• Judo Black-belt Steve Paterman coaches the youngsters in judo, as they learn how to throw people regardless of their size, starting with their heavyweight mentor
• Kalarippayatt The children tackle kalarippayatt, a fighting style whose origins are in southern India
• Kendo (2004) Children learn the Japanese art of kendo : a 16th-century samurai sword-fighting technique
• Kung Fu Children are challenged to become experts at kung fu, an ancient art form which was taught to Chinese monks by Buddhist travellers from India to use in self-defence. Combatants must learn a particular style, which features attacking and defensive kicks and punches
• Savate (2005) The children learn the martial art of savate, a French form of kickboxing
• Self-defence Martial arts expert Christie Bytom teaches the talented youngsters self-defence. The students then face an awareness test to see if they can use there senses as well as their fists
• Stunt Fighting (2005) An expert in traditional Western stunt fighting teaches the children the basics, and challenges them to ride a bucking bronco before taking part in a bar-room brawl. Last in series
• Sumo The talented youngsters master sumo skills with the help of British champion Steve Paterman, then take part in a tug-of-war contest to see if their balancing skills have improved
• Sumo Wrestling (2004) The children learn the basics of sumo wrestling, the national sport of Japan
• Survival The recruits are taught stomach-churning survival techniques by former Marine commando Major Phil Ashby, before the two finalists enter a gruelling head-to-head for the trophy
• Tae Kwon Do (2004) Former British Champion Christine Bytom teaches the talented youngsters the basics of tae kwon do, and devises a challenge in the woods to test the accuracy of their moves
• Target Practice The youngsters try their hand at archery, but Jordan struggles to hit the target. They also take on paint-balling as Major Phil Ashby attempts to improve their accuracy
• Viking Wrestling (2004) The children take on the challenge of Viking-style wrestling, with the two best students facing each other in an arena and the lowest-ranked facing a forfeit
• Wrestling 'Sumo' Steve Paterman demonstrates moves which will help the youngsters conduct themselves in this week's challenge - a choreographed wrestling match
