The lives of illegal immigrants living in Britain, following four people who came into the country without the right to work, all of whom have families in China dependent on their income. They discuss the difficulties they have encountered in their new lives, coping with missing out on their children's formative years, and how maintaining contact with home both motivates and depresses them
