The experiences of Englishman Monty Waldin, who used his life savings to take over a small vineyard in the south-west of France and produce his own blend of red wine. In the first episode, the odds seem stacked against Monty as his vision of growing his grapes bio-dynamically - without the aid of machinery or chemicals - is given the thumbs-down by the experts
