Synopsis:
One-off historical drama, starring Alex Kingston as the legendary warrior queen of the first century who came close to bringing about Nero's downfall. The story begins as feisty Boudica, a member of the Celtish Iceni tribe, attempts to renegotiate a contract with the Romans after her husband dies, but they don't agree to her demands and a bloody conflict for control of England ensues. Written by Andrew Davies, the cast also includes Hugo Speer, Steven Waddington and Jack Shepherd
