  The team is called on to examine a cryptic message written in human blood at a national monument. • Season 6 Episode 18: The Truth in the Myth

  The remains of TV presenter are discovered in the wilderness and he appears to have been killed by a mythical creature whose existence he had been trying to debunk for his latest show. • Season 6 Episode 17: The Feet on the Beach

  Seven pairs of dismembered feet are washed ashore on the north Canadian border, where Brennan and Booth trace most of the body parts to a nearby university - but one pair is left unaccounted for. • Season 6 Episode 16: The Blackout in the Blizzard

  A blizzard brings the whole town to a standstill and Brennan and Booth find themselves trapped in a lift, where a discussion about their relationship becomes uncharacteristically candid. The rest of the team is busy trying to identify a body without the use of modern technology, while Angela and Hodgins receive worrying news about the health of their unborn baby. Cam is desperate to get away for a romantic evening with Paul and gives the team just eight hours and 22 minutes to solve the case, but a barrage of potentially shady characters puts her plans in jeopardy

• Season 6 Episode 13: The Daredevil in the Mold

  The team sets out to discover the cause of death when a body is found on a rooftop covered in mould. On closer inspection, the corpse has more than 120 rehealed broken bones so the detectives visit the skate park where a local layabout helps them uncover what dealt the fatal blow to the victim

• Season 6 Episode 12: The Sin in the Sisterhood

  A man's body is found in a cornfield and the team finds themselves involved with a trio of sisters who were all married to the victim. Brennan and Booth try to find out if the women were involved with the poisoning and subsequent murder, while Cam struggles to spend time with her new boyfriend

• Season 6 Episode 11: The Bullet in the Brain

  The team comes under suspicion when the notorious Gravedigger, who buried Brennan, Booth and Hodgins alive, returns to appeal her sentence, but is shot dead before she reaches the courtroom. The precision and accuracy of the murder indicates a professional job and, as the investigation continues, it looks as though the culprit might be a bit too close to home

  The team investigates when a man discovers a body in his girlfriend's shower. Meanwhile, Brennan and Hannah's friendship is put under pressure when Booth reveals that Bones still has feelings for him

  The team investigates the murder of a girl bearing a remarkable resemblance to Brennan. As the forensic expert's obsession with the case grows, her behaviour becomes increasingly erratic, and she starts to imagine contact with the victim

  The team struggles to solve a case when a body is discovered melted into the dashboard of a charred truck with a gunshot wound. A visit to see the victim's wife uncovers a scandalous affair, but it is not until the cause of death is established that the mystery starts to unravel

• Season 6 Episode 7: The Babe in the Bar

  The team investigates when human remains are discovered inside the world's biggest chocolate bar. The body turns out to be a Walpert Chocolates employee who was supposed to be away at a cocoa bean conference, but finding a cause of death proves tricky. Meanwhile, Booth is over the moon when Hannah returns

  The skull of a promising young dancer is found lodged in concrete at a construction site, so the team sets out to discover what happened to the rest of the skeleton.   A group of government agents demand that Brennan and her team determine the cause of death of an unidentified, but highly classified, set of remains - and their findings lead them to believe they are investigating one of the most famous presidential assassinations in history.   The Jeffersonian team investigates when the mutilated remains of a chicken farmer are found near a river; the case prompts Angela to launch an animal-rights campaign.

  Brennan and Booth investigate charred human remains found near an electrical fence. The 'victim' is identified as a mummified Egyptian royal on loan to the Jeffersonian and the case is turned on its head when a curator in charge of the mummy is murdered

  The team investigates human remains found at a block party and soon discovers all the neighbours could have a motive. Elsewhere, Booth's son Parker tries to find him a girlfriend

  The team investigates the death of Levi Yoder, a gifted Amish pianist, when his remains are discovered near a railway line, and Booth and Brennan both come to believe the man's musical talent could have led to his murder. • Season 4 Episode 26: The End in the Beginning

  Booth and Brennan finally take their relationship a step further, and a familiar face returns in the form of serial killer and former Jeffersonian employee Zack. Drama, starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel

• Season 4 Episode 25: The Critic in the Cabernet

  The remains of a critic's body are found inside a barrel of wine, leaving the detectives with plenty of work to do when they discover he had many enemies. Meanwhile, Brennan reveals she wants Booth to father a child with her, uncovering a host of unresolved feelings between them. With the voice of Seth MacFarlane playing Family Guy's Stewie Griffin

  A fraternity brother at Middlesex University is found brutally murdered in a rival school's mascot uniform. The detectives search for a motive for the killing when they learn the victim was running a fruitful money-making scheme. Meanwhile, Booth's brother is discharged from the Navy

• Season 4 Episode 23: The Girl in the Mask

  Booth receives a call from his old friend Detective Ken Nakamura in Tokyo, who is distraught because his sister has disappeared in Washington. When the woman's severed head is discovered in a canal, her brother flies in to assist Booth and Brennan in investigating her murder, and the case becomes a race against time when the the victim's roommate is also found to be missing

• Season 4 Episode 22: The Double Death of the Dearly Departed

  A Jeffersonian employee from the Egyptology department dies of heart failure, and the whole team attends the funeral as a sign of respect. Brennan is adamant the death was not an accident after viewing the corpse and enlists Booth's help to snatch the body so she can take a closer look. Meanwhile, Cam tries to put an end to her newly adopted daughter's smoking habit

• Season 4 Episode 21: Mayhem on the Cross

  Booth and Brennan are called to investigate when a real human skeleton is used as a stage prop for a band in Norway, and the remains are soon identified as those of Mayhem, the bassist of death metal-group Spew. Meanwhile, Sweets asks Dr Wyatt for input on the book he is writing about the detective duo. Guest starring Stephen Fry

• Season 4 Episode 20: The Cinderella in the Cardboard

  Booth and Brennan are called to a recycling plant when the image of the Virgin Mary outlined in dried human blood is spotted on a bale of compressed cardboard with a completely flattened body inside. The duo discover the victim was engaged and had been planning her wedding for years, but had a trail of men from a dating service in tow and may have been murdered by a suitor

• Season 4 Episode 19: The Science in the Physicist

  Brennan and Booth face a particularly perplexing case when they are called in to investigate after the pulverised remains of a gifted scientist are discovered. Crime drama, starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz

• Season 4 Episode 18: The Doctor in the Den

  Brennan and Booth are called to investigate when a half-eaten body is discovered in a tiger cage at the zoo. They identify the victim as Cam's former fiance and while piecing together his final evening, the Jeffersonian team is led to Brandon Casey, whose refusal to confess to the crime causes Sweets and Angela to resort to unusual interrogation methods

• Season 4 Episode 17: The Salt in the Wounds

  A corpse is found buried under a mound of salt in a city de-icing truck. After carrying out the requisite forensic tests, Brennan and Booth identify the victim as a 16-year-old high-school volleyball player who was pregnant. The detectives venture to the girl's school and discover all her team-mates either have babies or are expecting

• Season 4 Episode 16: The Bones That Foam

  A newlywed couple decide to mark their wedding day with a bungee jump, and end up face to face with a corpse at the bottom of the gorge. Brennan and Booth identify the victim as a car salesman who got on the wrong side of a customer, but an unknown substance starts to ooze from the body, leaving the Jeffersonian team with only 24 hours to determine the cause of death before the bones disintegrate

• Season 4 Episode 15: The Princess and the Pear

  Booth is out of action due to a back injury, leaving Brennan to be joined by Agent Payton Perotta. The pair identify a decomposed body as a promotions model from ImagiCon, a convention catering to diehard fans of comic books and video games, and discover the victim may have possessed an invaluable piece of memorabilia

• Season 4 Episode 14: The Hero in the Hold

  Evidence goes missing in the ongoing Grave Digger investigation and Brennan, Hodgins and crime author Thomas Vega are called before a federal judge, where they all proclaim their innocence. The protestations are interrupted by a phone call revealing that Booth has been buried alive with only 24 hours' worth of oxygen and must be saved before it is too late

• Season 4 Episode 13: Fire in the Ice

  Booth becomes a suspect in a murder investigation when a rival ice-hockey player with whom he had a history of fighting is found dead. Brennan is assigned to work with a new FBI agent and sets out to prove that her partner is not responsible for the crime. Guest starring former NHL player Luc Robitaille as himself

• Season 4 Episode 12: Double Trouble in the Panhandle

  Brennan and Booth go undercover at a travelling circus as a knives-of-death act to investigate the murder of conjoined twins who worked as jugglers. • Season 4 Episode 9: The Con Man in the Meth Lab

  Brennan and Booth investigate a corpse found during a practice police raid and the discovery of a second body leads the team on a trail of deception. Meanwhile, Brennan goes on a date with Booth's younger brother

  Booth and Brennan investigate the murder of an artist and suspect his assistant Roxie Lyons may be the culprit. While being questioned, Roxie reveals she is a lesbian and once had a romantic relationship with someone in the lab

• Season 4 Episode 7: The He in the She

  Brennan and Booth investigate when skeletal remains, and remnants of the victim's breast implants, are found in the Chesapeake Bay; when the victim's lower half is discovered, the team realizes their initial assumptions about the victim may be incorrect.

• Season 4 Episode 6: The Crank in the Shaft

  Booth and Brennan try to identify the killer of an office manager whose dismembered body has been found in a lift shaft and discover the manager had more than a fair share of complaints on file. Meanwhile, Angela and Hodgins try reconcile in the lab following their break-up. Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz star

• Season 4 Episode 5: The Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond

  The Jeffersonian detectives seek the help of institutionalised Zack Addy when the body of 25-year-old author Jared Addison is discovered.
