Synopsis:
Woodcourt expresses concerns about Richard's deteriorating health, and Ada worries he may not live to see the child they are expecting. Mrs Rouncewell is overjoyed to learn George is no longer a suspect in the murder investigation. Esther is forced to turn down the heartfelt advances of Woodcourt, and Smallweed makes a discovery that leads to the sudden conclusion of the long-running Jarndyce case. Last in series
