    As the final exams loom, law student Lucy Bernard is frantically studying, hoping to repeat her success of the first year. As the only pupil at her state school to get into Cambridge, she feels she has a lot to prove, but sees class, rather than race, as the prejudice in the university. Masters student Damien Williams tries to juggle studying with preparing the annual Harvard dinner and catching up with his mother, who is flying in from America, while Cambridge graduate Sasha Morgan gets a job working for the Audit Commission, where she soon learns that experience is just as valuable as education. Meanwhile, veterinary student Tricia goes on a work placement at a farm in Brighton and Nigerian chemical engineering student Bambo begins studying for his finals
