Terry's daughter tries to act as peacemaker when two passengers square up to each other on a bus, but a knife is pulled and one of the men is wounded. Nate is first on the scene to administer first aid and finds his witness more than helpful. As the investigation progresses the couple grow closer, much to Terry's disapproval, and the girl's independent streak leads her into great danger
