It gets off to a dramatic start as Cathy Bradford deals with a vicious knife-wielding drunk, and there's bad news for Gary Best when CID make a gruesome discovery in their search for the young PC's missing father. The loss of Des prompts Sheelagh Murphy into making a life-changing decision, while Jim Carver and June Ackland : the only two characters who have been in the show since the first episode : take a trip down memory lane.
