The BBC Three Christmas Musical: AD/BC

Comedy rock musical based on the Nativity, but told from the innkeeper's perspective. Driven to despair by his failing business, the hotelier is on the brink of suicide when a voice from on high tells him to prepare for the arrival of King Herod. Throwing himself into his work with new determination, he ends up neglecting his wife, who turns to rival motel owner Tony Iscariot for comfort. Meanwhile, a couple turn up on the doorstep asking to sleep in the shed. Written by and starring Darkplace's Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade, alongside Julia Davis, Matt Lucas and Mighty Boosh stars Noel Fielding, Rich Fulcher and Julian Barratt
