Frank Renton presents the first of two programmes of highlights from the BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist 2007 contest. The eight semi-finalists in the fourth annual competition perform with the Brighouse and Rastrick Band, conducted by Ian McElligott, with four going through to the final at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Saturday 17 February
