Battlestar Galactica: Season 4 (2008 - 2009)

• Season 4 Episode 20+21: Daybreak - Parts Two and Three

  Double bill. The stakes are high as the epic sci-fi drama reaches its conclusion. With Earth, once hoped to be a refuge for the survivors of the 12 colonies, revealed as a nuclear wasteland, and the deterioration of the Galactica itself, the future of the human race is uncertain. Following Boomer's abduction of half-human-half-Cylon child Hera, Adama leads a small force of loyalists to rescue her from the clutches of Cavil and his Cylon faction, aware she may be humanity's only hope and the odds are stacked against her

• Season 4 Episode 19: Daybreak - Part One

  Part one of two. The search continues for Hera, who is being held by Cavil and the Cylon rebels, and the fleet's members are forced to choose between taking the mission or staying behind in relative safety. With Galactica nearing the end of its life, Adama leads the charge, accompanied by a faithful handful of followers who believe Hera is their only hope for the future

• Season 4 Episode 18: Islanded in a Stream of Stars

  The ship continues to deteriorate and Adama faces the prospect of abandoning the vessel altogether. Sam remains comatose, but his brain activity causes unusual power surges, while Hera's kidnapping serves only to strengthen the belief of those onboard Galactica that the child is a key to humanity's future as well as that of the Cylons

• Season 4 Episode 17: Someone to Watch Over Me

  Starbuck discovers a hidden musical ability that bears a mysterious significance to the final five Cylons, and her tune is found to have a connection with three-year-old human-Cylon hybrid Hera. The president authorises Boomer's release from the Brig so she can stand trial for treason on the Cylon Base Ship. Starring Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff and Jamie Bamber

• Season 4 Episode 16: Deadlock

  Ellen Tigh returns to the Galactica, but her passionate reunion with Saul is short-lived when she learns of his relationship with Six and their expected child. The remaining Cylons are delighted by her return, however, and she begins to encourage them to leave and begin a new life away from the ship

• Season 4 Episode 15: No Exit

  Anders undergoes brain surgery, and his memory begins to return - revealing what happened to the 13th colony, how the five remaining Cylons survived and how their humanoid counterparts gained the ability to resurrect themselves. Meanwhile, it is discovered the Galactica's much-needed repairs require the use of Cylon technology - risking a rebellion if the decision were made to proceed

• Season 4 Episode 14: Blood on the Scales

  The uprising continues and leads to Tom Zarek staging a military coup. The President is in hiding on the Cylon ship, and Apollo, Starbuck and the Cylons must get to Bill Adama before he is executed and regain control of the vessel

• Season 4 Episode 13: The Oath

  An uprising ensues as Tom Zarek's plan to oust the Admiral gains momentum when crew members join forces with civilian rebels - leaving Adama at the mercy of the Cylons who offer to protect him and the President from the mutinous band. Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell and Katee Sackhoff star

• Season 4 Episode 12: A Disquiet Follows My Soul

  Admiral Adama prepares the fleet to leave Earth to find a habitable planet for them to colonize, but is forced to form an alliance with the Cylons because they are in need of their technology. However, members of the coalition refuse to accept the aliens as allies - causing an unlikely rebel partnership to form. Meanwhile, Gaius Baltar's gathering descends into a riot. • Season 4 Episode 11: Sometimes a Great Notion

  The fleet and its Cylon allies unite in a search for Earth; Saul Tigh, Galen Tyrol, Samuel Anders and Tory Foster discover unsettling keys to their past.

• Season 4 Episode 10: Revelations

  The humans' truce with the Cylon rebels backfires when they hold the President hostage in an attempt to lure the final five machines out of hiding. Meanwhile, it appears that Starbuck may be confirming the Hybrid's prophecy by leading the fleet into danger

  President Roslin's leadership is challenged when the crew of Galactica join forces with Cylon rebels to bring down the Resurrection Hub. • Season 4 Episode 6: Faith

  In an attempt to discover the way to Earth, Starbuck accompanies Leoben to the Cylon base ship, where the Hybrid issues her with a cryptic warning. Meanwhile, Admiral Adama becomes anxious that the pilot has not yet returned and President Roslin bonds with another cancer patient. Katee Sackhoff, Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell star

• Season 4 Episode 5: The Road Less Travelled

  With time running out for Starbuck and her crew to find Earth, she decides to run the risk of accepting an offer of truce from Leoben. Meanwhile, Chief Tyrol remains haunted by Callie's death, Gaius broadcasts his preaching via the radio and President Roslin's cancer treatment becomes more intensive

• Season 4 Episode 4: Escape Velocity

  Tyrol's despair takes a downward spiral, despite Tory's attempts to console him. Meanwhile, Gaius's religious fervour goes to new extremes, sparking an uprising, and Colonel Tigh becomes further involved with Six in a bid to understand his Cylon status, and finds the relationship dangerously confusing and alluring. • Season 3 Episode 18: The Son Also Rises

  When Baltar's representatives experience an assassination attempt Admiral Adama asks Lee to offer them protection, who attempts to play an active role in defending the prisoner during his assignment

• Season 3 Episode 17: Maelstrom

  Starbuck's mental stability causes concern with Admiral Adama and Lee as she struggles to come to terms with her time spent in captivity aboard the New Caprica.

• Season 3 Episode 16: Dirty Hands

  Tyrol seeks advice from the imprisoned Baltar after clashing with Admiral Adama over the need for safer working conditions on board the ship, and Seelix becomes involved in the argument after being turned down for flight training

  While on the algae planet Tyrol discovers the Temple of Five. The Cylons take an interest in the discovery, as it may lead to a return to Earth. Athena learns that her baby Hera may still be alive, and Lee requires assistance from Anders

• Season 3 Episode 10: The Passage

  Thousands of people are left starving after the fleet's food supply is contaminated, forcing the team to find an alternative source or face extinction. To make matters worse, Athena stumbles across a planet rich in algae, but it can only be reached through a deadly radiation field. Sci-fi drama, starring Grace Park

  The team let off steam in Adama's boxing tournament, but old grudges threaten relationships on board the ship when rivalry between Kara and Lee sets off a brutal match.   D'Anna Biers is willing to take extreme measures to find out if Baltar is hiding information vital to the survival of the Cylons. On board a Cylon baseship, Gaius Baltar finds his fate in the hands of an unsympathetic jury, and it falls to Number Six to make a difficult decision

  Part two of two. The crew form an alliance with insurgents of New Caprica, forcing the Cylons to take drastic steps as they begin to lose control in the battle. Lee struggles to protect the civilian fleet on its journey toward Earth. Starring Edward James Olmos and Jamie Bamber

Battlestar Galactica: Season 2 (2005 - 2006)

• Season 2 Episode 20: Lay Down Your Burdens : Part Two

  Part two of two. Feature-length episode marking the end of the series. Starbuck returns from the Twelve Colonies before someone aboard Galactica is revealed to be a Cylon. Roslin suspects Baltar of collaboration with the enemy, but fails to keep the presidency out of his hands. Believing the fleet finally free of the Cylon menace, he decrees the immediate colonisation of New Caprica

• Season 2 Episode 19: Lay Down Your Burdens : Part One

  Part one of two. As Roslin and Baltar go head to head in a presidential debate, the discovery of a habitable planet helps to shift the popularity of one candidate dramatically. Meanwhile, Chief Tyrol suffers with terrible visions that prompt him to attack Cally and seek guidance from a priest, and Starbuck leads a rescue mission back to Cylon-occupied Caprica in the hope of finding Anders alive

• Season 2 Episode 18: Downloaded

  A unique episode of the sci-fi drama set largely from the Cylon perspective. On Caprica, the murdered Sharon is downloaded into a new body and an insight into Cylon society is revealed on the occupied Twelve Colonies, while Anders continues his guerilla war. On Galactica, the captive incarnation of Sharon gives birth prematurely to the hybrid child, who soon becomes the focus of intrigue

• Season 2 Episode 17: The Captain's Hand

  Tensions run high between Lee and the new commander of the Pegasus when a Raptor team goes missing and he leads the ship into great peril. The arrival on Galactica of a pregnant girl seeking to terminate her unborn child prompts a political struggle when Baltar diasgrees with Roslin's decision to criminalise abortion, and announces he is running for the presidency

• Season 2 Episode 16: Sacrifice

  When an embittered civilian takes key military and government officials hostage aboard Cloud Nine, Starbuck launches a rescue attempt which will have tragic consequences for one of the crew. Sci-fi drama, with Jamie Bamber and Katee Sackhoff

• Season 2 Episode 15: Scar

  The team are called into action to investigate a Colonial mining operation. Meanwhile, an implacable Cylon raider sets out on a destructive rampage, carrying out a series of hit-and-run attacks on the fleet. The exhausted Viper pilots have no choice but to do battle with their formidable foe, whom they nickname Scar

• Season 2 Episode 14: Black Market

  Pegasus' commander Fisk is murdered following Roslin's pledge to stamp out the fleet's black market and introduce new trade regulations. Lee is charged with solving the crime but finds himself in danger when his investigation leads deep into military, civilian and government circles. Sci-fi drama, with Jamie Bamber and Mary McDonnell

• Season 2 Episode 13: Epiphanies

  Cylon sympathisers begin a campaign of sabotage and destruction in the fleet, demanding peace with the enemy. Roslin lies on her deathbed, flashing back to her life on Caprica. Recalling her complicated relationship with the former president, she demands the abortion of Sharon's hybrid child. Gaius meets Gina and begins to find his loyalties divided

• Season 2 Episode 12: Resurrection Ship: Part Two

  Part two of two. As the warring Battlestars Pegasus and Galactica prepare to combine forces for an attack on the 'Resurrection' ship, a group of Cylon sympathisers appear, demanding humanity broker peace with their enemy and using violent sabotage to deliver their message. Meanwhile, Apollo faces a momentous decision and Baltar takes an interest in Gina

• Season 2 Episode 11: Resurrection Ship: Part One

  Feature-length sci-fi adventure rehashing the cult Seventies drama, starring Edward James Olmos as the brave starship commander leading an attempt to find Earth. A group of brave explorers are defeated in battle with the nefarious Cylon robots, and press on with their mission to find the fabled 13th colony, on planet Earth. • Season 2 Episode 10: Pegasus

  There is celebration throughout the fleet when the Galactica finds the Battlestar Pegasus, a warship long thought destroyed by the Cylons with the rest of the colonial forces. However, tensions soon begin to surface as the new Admiral tries to assert her authority and two of Adama's crew are sentenced to death

• Season 2 Episode 9: Flight of the Phoenix

  Captured agent Sharon reveals to Adama that a Cylon virus has infected the Galactica's computers, scanning them for weaknesses and tampering with the ship's basic internal functions in preparation for a major attack on the vessel. The Commander must decide whether she can be trusted, while the flight crew is hard at work on a new type of fighter named 'the Blackbird'

• Season 2 Episode 8: Final Cut

  With the fleet now reunited, old conflicts begin to resurface, as tensions between civilians and the military reach boiling point. Colonel Tigh receives death threats following the massacre on the Gideon. President Roslin asks a reporter onboard to help improve relations, but does not count on her discovering one of Galactica's most explosive secrets. Guest starring Lucy Lawless

• Season 2 Episode 7: Home : Part Two

  Part two of two. Adama reassembles the fleet and follows President Roslin to the surface of Kobol, where she searches for the tomb of Athena that will lead them to Earth. The estranged groups make peace and reunite to continue the expedition, but their destination holds an unusual surprise. Meanwhile, Meier resorts to drastic measures to ensure Zarek's rise to power

• Season 2 Episode 6: Home : Part One

  Part one of two. Starbuck, Boomer and Helo return to the Astral Queen, where Roslin forces them on a desperate mission to find the Tomb of Athena. Adama appoints an inexperienced replacement for his son, who proves inadequate in almost everything he's asked to do - endangering the lives of the rest of the fleet in the process. • Season 2 Episode 5: The Farm

  Adama resumes his post as commander of the Galactica, but is faced with the unenviable predicament of his crew losing faith in the cause. His first mission is to find his treacherous son and President Roslin, who seem to have formed a regrettable alliance

• Season 2 Episode 4: Resistance

  Tigh's decision to impose martial law makes the team suffer as resource ships refuse to deliver supplies to Galactica. The Chief is arrested on suspicion of being a Cylon, and Gaius Baltar is enlisted to prove his fidelity. Lee helps President Roslin escape her imprisonment and the pair flee to Cloud Nine, aided by an unlikely figure, where they try to think of a way to restore order

• Season 2 Episode 3: Fragged

  While Adama recovers from surgery after being shot, the crash survivors on Kobol learn of an anti-aircraft weapon deployed by the Cylons to take out the rescue ship. Tigh is made to realise the magnitude of his role as stand-in Commander when the Quorum of Twelve challenges his authority

• Season 2 Episode 2: Valley of Darkness

  The ship manages to rejoin the fleet, but at a heavy price - a Cylon computer virus has found its way into the Galactica's system. Colonel Tigh fears the Centurions are planning to gruesomely murder the crew and seize control of the vessel. Plus, Number Six gives Baltar some unnerving news

• Season 2 Episode 1: Scattered

  With Adama out of commission, Tigh takes over command of the Galactica. Gaeta tries to execute an emergency jump but enters the wrong co-ordinates and the ship is separated from the civilian craft. The truth about Boomer is confirmed, and she is detained in prison, although she manages to break free and absconds on Starbuck's Cylon raider

• Season 1 Episode 13: Kobol's Last Gleaming : Part Two

  Part two of two. The fighters clash with the Cylon ship and Roslin is still determined to find a way of reaching Earth. Mary McDonnell stars

• Season 1 Episode 12: Kobol's Last Gleaming : Part One

  Part one of two. The Galactica crew finally locates the legendary planet Kobol, where the ancient scrolls say humankind originated. However, as the ship descends to explore the fabled world, Cylon raiders appear and launch a strike - and they have plenty of resources waiting to join the battle

• Season 1 Episode 11: Colonial Day

  Roslin fears the worst when a convicted felon is nominated to become the next vice president, and her advisors tell her she must do everything in her power to prevent it from happening. Meanwhile, on Caprica, Helo gets a wake-up call

• Season 1 Episode 10: The Hand of God

  In the face of a fuel shortage, Commander Adama decides to attack a heavily armed Cylon fuel refinery, and his plan puts Lee and Starbuck's leadership qualities to the test. Meanwhile, Dr Baltar's reputed expertise regarding the enemy means he is called upon for vital information about the target site

• Season 1 Episode 9: Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down

  Adama finds Tigh's wife, who was presumed dead. Suspicion and paranoia aboard the ship get out of hand and everybody becomes a Cylon suspect. Edward James Olmos stars

• Season 1 Episode 8: Flesh and Bone

  Kara feels guilty when she is ordered to torture a Cylon prisoner to find out where a bomb has been hidden on the Galactica. The crew members hear a nuclear warhead is poised to explode onboard, but it takes time for them to believe the rumour is true

• Season 1 Episode 7: Six Degrees of Separation

  Baltar is dumbfounded as Number Six appears on the ship posing as someone else, but his surprise turns to distress when she accuses him of being the traitor

• Season 1 Episode 6: Litmus

  On board Colonial One, Billy holds his first press conference for the President, while Sharon and Tyrol slip away for a tryst. Amid the hubbub of the crew at the end of the day a suicide bomber slips through security, but just as Colonel Tigh spots him, he blows himself up

• Season 1 Episode 5: You Can't Go Home Again

  Kara is announced missing after being shot down in an enemy attack, so Lee and Commander Adama insist they must do whatever is necessary to find and rescue her - even if it means they use up precious resources, which could jeopardise the entire fleet

• Season 1 Episode 4: Act of Contrition

  When 20 pilots are killed in a tragic accident on the Galactica, it evokes painful memories for Starbuck, who still feels guilty about the death of Adama's son years before. Edward James Olmos stars

• Season 1 Episode 3: Bastille Day

  A water shortage prompts Adama to order the temporary release of prisoners to gather supplies from a deserted ice moon - but a mutiny sees Galactica officers held hostage by a charismatic rebel
