• Season 1 Episode 8: Battle of Britain (2004) The Snows use state-of-the-art graphics to recreate the Battle of Britain, considered by many to be one of the pivotal conflicts of World War Two. Peter explains the role radar played in detecting Luftwaffe planes as they headed for Dover, while Dan experiences for himself the physiological effects of the high G-forces that would have been felt by the RAF pilots
• Season 1 Episode 7: The Battle of Culloden (2004) Peter and Dan Snow venture to the Highlands of Scotland and use state-of-the-art graphics to recreate the 1746 Battle of Culloden in which Bonnie Prince Charlie led the Jacobite army against George II's redcoats in an unsuccessful bid to restore his family to the throne. The duo reveal how close he came to victory and the impact of the defeat on Scottish culture and religion
• Season 1 Episode 6: The Battle of the Boyne (2004) Peter and Dan Snow use state-of-the-art graphics to show the enormous scale of the pivotal Battle of the Boyne, revealing what happened when supporters of the Catholic King James II confronted the troops of Protestant King William III three centuries ago. They also look at what life was like for soldiers on the front line of the conflict and experience the challenge of crossing the river on foot
• Season 1 Episode 5: The Battle of Naseby (2004) Peter and Dan Snow use state-of-the-art graphics to recreate the crucial moments in the Battle of Naseby. Considered by many to be the starting point of British democracy, the conflict became the turning point in the English Civil War. The duo test their sword-fighting skills in a simulated cavalry charge and experience the struggles faced by ordinary foot soldiers encumbered with unwieldy pikes
• Season 1 Episode 4: Battle Against the Spanish Armada (2004) Peter and Dan Snow recreate the 1588 clash between the English Navy and Spanish Armada, an epic battle that raged for 11 days. The Spanish ships were more numerous and heavily constructed than their English counterparts, and analysis of their design reveals how they were able to withstand direct cannonball hits
• Season 1 Episode 3: Battle for Wales (2004) Peter and Dan Snow use computer-generated imagery to bring to life the battle for Wales instigated by Owain Glyndwr, who led a rebellion against English rule in the 1400s. They also look at the use of the longbow in the conflict and discover how the rough terrain of the Welsh borders helped the nobleman to outwit his enemies, King Henry IV and his son Prince Hal
• Season 1 Episode 2: Battle of Hastings (2004) Peter and Dan Snow reconstruct the turbulent events of 1066 in which William the Bastard, Duke of Normandy, clashed with Harold II, King of England, in the pivotal Battle of Hastings. The epic struggle in which the Anglo-Saxons were routed, is brought to life through computer imagery, with an insight into the conflict from the soldiers' perspective
• Season 1 Episode 1: Boudicca's Revolt (2004) Peter and Dan Snow chart the destruction wrought by Boudicca and her warriors as they clashed with the Roman legions in 60AD. State-of-the-art computer graphics offer an insight into the rebel leader's bloody campaign, from the sacking of Colchester to the final confrontation near St Albans, while the presenters investigate what life was like for fighters on both sides of the battle
